My heart is fuelled by sea breezes, golden light and the fresh, cool air of early mornings.
I’m Alexandra Schaede, a wedding and editorial photographer born and raised in the heart of the Caribbean on the island of Sint Maarten. Growing up by the sea taught me to see beauty in natural light, soft winds, and fleeting moments — all of which have become the soul of my work.
I studied photography in New York City, where I honed a modern, editorial eye, and spent several years living in Europe, inspired by its history, art, and timeless romance. Those years shaped the way I tell stories — blending the effortless warmth of the islands with the refined elegance I discovered abroad.
Now back home in the Caribbean, I capture love stories across Sint Maarten, Anguilla, St Barths, St Lucia, and the neighboring islands — from barefoot beach vows to lavish celebrations beneath island sunsets.
My approach is editorial documentary with a romantic soul, often weaving film photography into the day to create images that feel alive, nostalgic, and lasting.
